KVS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.
Explanatory Note: Important words and their connotation:
Envisions: KVS has a dream to follow in future
|
World class organization: An organization that is equipped with the state of the art educational technology, infrastructural facilities and more importantly preparedness on the part of teachers, students and other staff members to employ these in day-to-day functioning of the Vidyalaya.
Continually empowering teachers: In a knowledge society, up-gradation of knowledge and pedagogical skills are a must to remain relevant for the future students. KVS organizes several in-service courses, capacity building programmes for the teachers and other staff members.
Actualize inside out synergy: Every school activity leads to development of student- physical development and/or cognitive/intellectual development and/or emotional/spiritual development. The word inside synergy refers to perfect balance in these dimensions so that there is perfect harmony between head, hand and heart. Incorporating “out”- “inside out synergy” refers to balanced personality synergizing with external world and circumstances to create great works. The word “actualize” signifies that the seed for such inside out synergy is innate and not an external addition and our role is to ensure its manifestation. This is in line with the definition of education by Swami Vivekananda, “Education is manifestation of perfection already in man”.
Futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations: Such exalted individual would add tremendous value to life and fulfill needs and aspirations of the society, the nation and the world. “Individual needs” has been deliberately avoided not to emphasise on the “self”. An individual would really be contributing when he/she has risen above his personal “self”.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya has a four-fold mission, namely,

(iv) To develop the sprit of national integration and create a sense of 'Indianness' among children.
In pursuance of the above objectives, the Kendriya Vidyalayas have been setup with the following features:
(1) Kendriya Vidyalaya primarily caters to the educational needs of the wards of transferable central Government employees.
